The XML Publishing System

Pixelise and other XML publishing systems

Pixelise is an XML publishing System that allows you to process and display complex XML document collections on the web.

While Pixelise follows the strengths of other XML publishing systems such as Anastasia, written by Andrew West and Peter Robinson; Pixelise is a completely new system designed from scratch.

XML documents currently used with Anastasia or other XML systems can be used with Pixelise, although some conversion may be required.

We are hoping to publish here or elsewhere, a migration guide for XML documents moving from Anastasia to Pixelise. As well as migration guides to Pixelise from other systems.

Pixelise will support any valid XML. It does not matter if your XML has been marked according you own standards, Text Encoding Initiative, Dublin Core, OSIS or any other standard.

Pixelise does however require your documents to be well-formed and valid, it may be less forgiving than older systems of badly-formed or invalid XML, or non-standard/SGML extensions such as SDATA.
